i don't know those brands because i don't have a costco membership, but i used to feed my boston terrier cheap food. it wasn't so good for her coat (she was balding behind the ears) so i had to switch to something with less filler (cornmeal) and more nutritious ingredients, so i went with innova. it kind of costs a lot, but not too bad and she doesn't really eat a lot, just a cup a day, but then again she's only 18 lbs and i control how much she eats because i don't want her getting fat.
other times i make her homemade food as an occasional dinner treat. basically turkey pot pie without the pie. it has chicken broth, butter, flour, turkey, carrots, peas and parsley in it.
i've heard the quality of food you feed your dog is really important for their overall health so it's best not to scrimp on it if you can help it. |
