Dare I say I actually don't think Pop is a bad album? To be honest, I think they died creatively as a band after that. It was really the only commercial flop in their entire career thus far, and it happened to be the last time they released something that was outside of the "U2 box", soooo I'm just putting 2 and 2 together there. I feel like wether or not you've liked U2 over the past 10-15 years, everyone can agree that they haven't expanded their sound whatsoever since then.

All in all, I think U2 is both underrated and overrated at the same time, depending on who you're talking to. I can dig their old stuff, but starting with All That You Can't Leave Behind I've just been hoping they'd break up and do something else.
