Pretty much the same here. The worst service I've ever received I still gave her 15%. Now, I did excuse myself from the table, ran over the grocery store across the street and got a couple rolls of pennies. I think it was like a $5 tip, and noone else at the table was going to tip. One guy actually tried to get out of paying for his meal the service was so bad. But I've worked as a line cook at Vince's in Ontario, and Red Robin in Irvine as a bus boy, I know how much the servers depend on it. So by doing that, she got her tip (and the point) and everyone else got a good laugh which lightened the mood. Well she didn't laugh about it, but everyone else did. Even her manager.
