Perception is a tricky thing. I have heard and/or read people wanting to trade Lubo for a bag of pucks. Others looking for the answer to the riddle 'Where in the world is Lubo?' ... seen his picture on milk cartons asking someone ... heck, anyone... to find his missing game. Make no mistake that after Lubo signed that extension and then had the less than Lubo-like year, he made enemies of fans and became a headache of the team trying to fix him and/or his game. At the first town hall meeting, Hextall said to a group of us that the losing got to Visnovsky.
I have every reason to believe Lubo has faced as much PR issues this year as Blake. The difference is that Lubo just has to find his game; the fans will love him again if he does. Fans find Blake to be a greedy player whose loyalty is to the dollar bill. That cannot be fixed for many no matter what he does on the ice. Big difference.
