Obviously this Hagee guy has some very disturbing views, but for you Obamatarians, I don’t think it trumps the Rev. Wright controversy. Other than Wright and Hagee both being controversial ministers who say stupid things and are supporting a presidential candidate, I don't see the how this is in any way the same thing. Wright was Obama's spiritual leader for 20 years and Obama was a member of his church. Wasn't the title of Obama's book "Audacity of Hope" even borrowed from a Wright sermon? McCain does not go to Hagee's church nor is he McCain’s spiritual leader. It’s hard to see how you could argue that Hagee’s views would have the same weight with McCain that Wright’s views would have with Obama. McCain went after the Hagee endorsement to win over conservative Christian evangelicals. He should have taken a closer look at Hagee and made a better choice. He correctly rejected the endorsement when the Huffington Post and liberal groups brought comments to light.

To me this dust up just looks like the left trying to find a way to diffuse the Wright situation and nothing more.
