I do not recommend Vizio. They are ok, but not great. You really do get what you pay for. For your money, I suggest Samsung. And I always suggest 1080p native resolution. You do need to go to a store and look at the tv ,but don't read too much into comparing sets in the store. You don't know what settings they've used on the floor models. I recommend that you get a model with a matte screen. Glossy ones reflect any light in the room.

I bought mine from Circuit City (on sale of course). Costco is another great place.
