Instead of a proven top level defensive defenseman the Kings have a huge defensive hole and the possibility of two prospects who will try to become as good as the player that we had sometime in the future. It's like comparing apples and oranges in many ways so instead of talking present and future potential instead you have to look at what the direct loss of Norstrom and the lack of a comparable replacement did to the team.
Also, isn't it amazing how the LGK know-it-alls announced that Matty was a terrible leader and were happy to see him traded? After all the LGK's were privy to the locker room and bench so they knew the chemistry and leadership that was taking place didn't they? Now you have numerous players from the team he is playing for singing his high praises. Somehow I think the teammates would know more about it. That said, I still hate that trade and miss having Matty captaining the Kings.
