Since the last dead horse we beat hardly exists, I guess I'll start beating up Eight Belles now (too soon?). You're extremely behind on not only the Juan Pierre discourse, but also the "what makes a good hitter good" discourse.

Juan Pierre is BAD at getting on base. On base percentage hovering around .330 in the previous 3 seasons is BAD. Especially for a guy who hits singles.

Stolen bases...Pierre gets thrown out about 25% percent of the time. That is about "breaking even" in terms of actually helping your team. Giving away outs: BAD THING.

There. That's the cliffnotes version. I can't believe this still has to be talked about, but ok.
