Can't remember if this has been done before, but thought it'd be cool to have a thread where we can alert one another as to
strictly HD (and kick-ass) upcoming movies, documentaries, concerts, etc. If you've seen something that blew you away in HiDef before and is coming up again, or notice something that looks great in previews, please give us a heads-up by posting it here. Times and dates--or at least channels--would help us find it, and either watch or set the TiVo or DVR.
I'll start with a movie I watched last night on MOJO--maybe one of the coolest cop flicks ever made:

I've seen it before in standard def., but the HD transfer was ABSOLUTELY ****ING INCREDIBLE. I mean, It was a completely different experience. The colors really popped, and the car-chase scene on the steep-sloping streets of S.F. where the camera was filming through windshield like you're the passenger was SOOO frickin cool. If you dig this movie or the cop/action genre you NEED to check this out in HD.
Just a side note, I've been playing with the "Surround headphones" setting on my Pioneer receiver with late night movies (so as to not stir the mrs.) and this ROCKED. Surround phones FTW!!
