Do you have a link stating that his teammates said that? I haven't read that anywhere, just that Blake himself never heard anything directly. I'm sure Tucker wouldn't have gotten so mad if Avery called Blake's mom fat. Avery crosses the line of hockey and taking things to the personal level. He's known for it and is known for not having any class. So why is it so hard for you to think he wouldn't say anything about cancer?

That is ****ing hilarious right there. I knew you had some Avery-colored glasses on, but I didn't know it was that bad. There was a whole article in a Vancouver paper where they interviewed some of the ex-Kings on the Canucks and they all basically said what a distraction he was in the lockerroom, that he was greatly disliked by the young players (read: Dustin Brown), that when in Detroit they made him get dressed in a closet or something. You make it sound like the whole rest of the team, and the coaches, we wrong and Avery was some shining example of moral fiber. That's comedy. Hell, the Rangers called him a "detriment to the team" during their arbitration hearing and probably are going to let him walk at the end of the season. How much more evidence do you need?
