Default michael ryder

i am constantly complaining about the stupid trade/free agent proposals placed on these boards. but even i cant control myself sometimes...

michael ryder is in the doghouse in montreal right now. hes had a terrible year, and has been a healthy scratch in 5 straight playoff games. in the previous two seasons, however, he has tallied 30 goals and almost 60 points. he is 28, which means he has probably peaked, and he is an unrestricted free agent this summer. he made just under $3 million the past two seasons which is less than what cammy makes now and for about the same type of production and player. if cammy is traded ryder might be a cheap buy for a season or two as our rookies continue to develop. i know our needs are not at forward, which is why i would only consider this if cammy is traded and their appears to be a hole in the top 6.

Ryder's future in doubt after fifth straight healthy scratch
