We all know about 28%
approval rate, but there is an all-time high disapproval rate now.
69% actively disapprove of Bush's performance now and an equal percentage describe his administration as a "failure."
Disapproval of Bush breaks record - USATODAY.com
32% of R's, 72% of Ind's, and 91% of D's disapprove of Bush's performance.
At his peak right
after 9/11 his approval rating was 90%. 66% of all Republicans still approve of Bush's job.
In spite of that last number way too many Americans think that the current situation is fundamentally a "Bush" problem as opposed to a Republican Party problem (which it is) and the Republicans are, IMO, likely to be able to win the coming presidential election and guarantee the disapproving but inane citizenry more of the same.
