I agree that reaching the AHL playoffs with one of the youngest (and inexperienced) teams in the whole AHL is a feature of itself and a vital experience which will payoff for the big club down the stretch. The late additions to the Monarchs of Moller, Bernier and Zatkoff speaks volumes on how important the Kings brass thinks this experience is.
And lets be honest you could'nt expect (at least from a forward or defenseman) to make any signifacant impact on a his first professional team by joining that late in the season.
So the experience factor was obviously the driving factor.
