Increase/decrease the hertz range on your monitor.
Update the monitor drivers. (If it has drivers. Check the monitor website to find out)

The FX 5200s may have a problem running at 1920x1280. Some of the linux reviews I read stated that there were display issues like what you are describing under linux with the FX 5200s.
