Monarchs Sign Two Draft Picks
Holloway, Moller join Manchester on amateur agreements

MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have signed right wing Bud Holloway and center Oscar Moller to amateur tryout agreements, Monarchs Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced today.

Holloway, 20, joins the Monarchs after completely his fifth season with the Western Hockey League's Seattle Thunderbirds. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound native of Wapella, Saskatchewan, finished second on the Thunderbirds this season with 83 points (43-40=83) in 70 games. Selected by the Kings in the third-round (86th overall) in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, Holloway collected 197 points (95-102=197) and 150 penalty minutes in 282 games since the 2003-04 season. He will wear No. 51 for the Monarchs.

Moller, 19, finished second on the WHL's Chilliwack Bruins with 82 points (39-43=82) and 42 penalty minutes in 63 games this season. The 5-foot-11, 177-pound native of Stockholm, Sweden, led the Bruins in goals with 39. In his rookie season with Chilliwack, Moller ranked second with 69 points (32-37=69) in 68 games during the 2006-07 season. He will wear No. 48 for the Monarchs.

The Monarchs kick off their seventh post-season as they travel to Rhode Island for game one of the 2008 Calder Cup Atlantic Division Semifinals against the Providence Bruins on Wednesday, April 16 at 7:05 p.m. at the Dunkin Donuts Center.
