They did overachieve a bit, losing Eduardo hurt, especially now that Adebayor's confidence is basically shot. Wenger has no real other options unless he wants to play RVP up front.
I think Arsenal's first choice 11 is capable of winning the league, what their main problem in my eyes is they don't have a big squad. Certainly not big enough to try and compete in 3 competitions. The Man U game is a perfect example, Ferguson was able to throw Anderson and Tevez into the fray. Wenger threw on Walcott a fine talent, but also Bendter(promising player but right now just a guy who can win high balls), and Hoyte. Not exactly the cavalry. Wenger is a fine manager, Arsenal needs give give him a bigger transfer budget though. Finding young talent is essential and good and all but you have to be able to make that big buy if you want to make an impact.
