You're talking about two different issues. The second one, about the proximately to schools (in regards to child molestors, which I think should be a life sentence) I agree with. That is a right that they lost, so they need to work around the law.

I'm talking about sex offenders that find places that ARE within the law - away from schools, etc. I just don't understand how someone can be so up in arms about protecting THEIR family, but has no concern about the safety of someone elses. Doesn't that just define a selfish act?
