Exclamation Special GDT - Tampa Bay Lightning @ Atlanta Thrashers - 4/5/08

Tampa Bay Lightning
vs.

Atlanta Thrashers

Game Time: 7:00 pm ET | 4:00 pm PT
Location: Phillips Arena | Atlanta, GA

Notes

Both these teams suck, arguably worse than the Kings.

The only reason any of us care is that, based on today's Ducks-Kings result, if Tampa Bay gets at least one point (OT/SO loss or win) tonight, the Kings finish last and have the best odds of getting the first overall pick in the upcoming 2008 NHL draft. The order of lottery teams will be set on Monday, 4/7/08 at 5:00 pm PT | 8:00 pm ET at a televised NHL lottery event.

The Lightning are on a three game losing streak and Vincent Lecavalier won't be available (shoulder, operation coming). One of those three games was a home shutout loss to Atlanta (Lehtonen in net). Ilya Kovalchuk had both Atlanta goals that night. Oh, and it gets worse. Tampa Bay is 0-3-2 in its last five games against the Thrashers, and has only one win in its last six visits to Atlanta.

Let's go Lightning?
