Even if the Kings finished dead last Im sure they still would have lost the lottery...its the Kings way. I actually think theyve got a better chance of winning the thing in the 2nd or 3rd position quite frankly. Weve been kicked in the nuts enough times to realize that finishing dead last in a horrific season would never end with a silver lining.

Case in point.....

The Year was 1995. The Kings missed the playoffs and finished with the 7th or8th place in the lottery. They win the lottery only to choose the 3rd ranked player who was Aki Berg. The player taken 7th overall.....was Shane Doan. Taken not too shortly after that was....Mclaren, Giguerre, Iginla, Mckee, Sykora, Nabakov etc etc etc.

So when it comes to old adages we simply need to make some minor changes to make it applicable to the Kings.

Every Cloud has a silver lining will know be known as Behind Every Cloud is another Cloud thats darker and more ominous then the cloud before it.

Or we can go with the old Monty Python philosophy...
