Lubo, $7 million, and the next five years. | | next year is the beginning of visnovsky's new five year contract. he will make $7 million next year and the following year. we all know he has had a terrible year, which makes the prospect of paying him 14 million over the next two years and $28 million over the next 5 years potentially about as pleasant as a kick in the groin or a punch in the boob. there are signs of hope however. over the last few games, (ok maybe not the last one) he appears to be picking up his game, actually getting shots through traffic, and has been playing adequately on d. he still remains one of the kings top scorers and their top offensive d-man. the two years prior to this season, were also very good for lubo. and this season marks the first full season in which he has been a minus player (albeit a whopping -18). so, is this season merely an aberration and he turns it around and has a solid season next year, or does his salary become an albatross and we pray for year five of his contract? |
