A number of teams can start spewing the "wait until next year" mantra to their fans but there is real reason for optimism in a number of cities. I like the look of the L-A Kings heading forward. Not only is junior goaltender Jonathan Bernier a goalie with a promising future the Kings have unearthed young Erik Ersberg. The 26 yr-old Swede signed on as a free agent last May. In 11 NHL appearances Ersberg has pitched 2 shut-outs.
Anze Kopitar heads up some good young talent in La La Land. Alexander Frolov, Mike Cammeleri, Dustin Brown, Patrick O'Sullivan and Jack Johnson make up a good young core. Imagine if they could add Steven Stamkos to the mix?
