Bad Bad TV Coverage - FSN West and Prime Ticket | | I've been keeping track over many games this year. FSN West and Prime Ticket show about 60% of the face-offs. The other 40% you don't get to see. I thought the face-off was one of the most important parts of the game. It starts the action and it determines possession. To me, a face-off in hockey is just as important as a pitch in baseball or a snap in football. You see every pitch in baseball and every snap in football. What FSN West and Prime Ticket are doing instead of showing us the face-offs are showing replays, players on the benches or in the penalty boxes, the goalie's mask, or graphics. All of that is fine as long as they get back to the ice in time to see the face-off. Otherwise, in my opinion, FSN West and Prime Ticket show considerable disrespect for the game of hockey and you, the Kings fans. Apparantly you're not -- to them -- sophisticated enough to regard the face-offs as important, and -- to them -- the game of hockey is an inferior sport to, say, baseball or football. I have Center Ice, and no other broadcaster is as bad as them. Thanks. |
