Default After a self-imposed absense, my thoughts on the last month...

Rob Blake sucks. I don't believe for a second that he's as loyal as Mats Sundin. If he was serious about helping the team, he would have gotten as a 1st and a prospect, then resigned next season for 2.5M. As it stands now, I don't even want him back.

I thought it was cute that Stuart was traded for the exact same thing as Sopel. May be we can coin the "Brent Sopel special," a 2nd and a 4th for an impending UFA 5th/6th Dman.

I love Frolov's development. Pts/gm:
02-03: 0.39
03-04: 0.62
05-06: 0.78
06-07: 0.87
07-08: 1.02

And he still has a year or two before he hits his prime. And given how much time he plays, the -1 is pretty amazing.

I don't get people saying we shouldn't or we aren't going to draft Stamkos because we have enough offense. If we skip Stamkos for Doughty, couldn't the exact same argument be made? We have enough 6'-and-under offensive defensemen. If we draft based on need, we should package our picks and draft Schenn and Pietrangelo.

If the NHL were smart, they would let Tavares enter in the 08 draft for the 2nd biggest market in America to draft him.
