Default Phantom win is the goal for Monarchs (Union Leader)

The Manchester Monarchs try to duplicate last month's blowout of Philadelphia when they host the East Division-leading Phantoms tonight at 7:05 at Verizon Wireless Arena.

Matt Moulson scored twice, Teddy Purcell had a goal and three assists, and Dan Taylor made 28 saves in Manchester's 6-2 win at the Wachovia Spectrum back on Jan. 13.

The Monarchs have been on a win-one, lose-one roller-coaster ride over their last six games. They lost to Hartford, 3-1, in their latest, on Wednesday. Philadelphia has also been in a lull, going 4-4 heading into last night's game against Springfield.

Nevertheless, the Phantoms (31-16-1-2) hold a comfortable eight-point lead in the East with 65 points. Manchester (23-21-4-2) is mired in the middle of the Atlantic Division with 52 points, good for fourth.
