To be fair, for the first time in awhile, the team’s getting hit by the injury bug. Before the game even started, Nagy remained in Los Angeles and due to a just diagnosed ankle stress fracture, Rob Blake joined him. Thornton joined the new Kings’ infirmary when he sustained injury as well.

The most senior IR guy with 17 games lost is Cammalleri who is with the team on the road trip. Apparently, he is doing much better. Kings' broadcasters, Jim Fox and Bob Miller, said that Cammalleri remains skating without contact, but he can "still feel it" and cannot return until that changes... uh... okay.... (In fairness, I have no idea how that 'still feels it' translates regarding the healing process for his injured ribs. Fox did add that coming back too soon leaves Cammalleri susceptible to reinjury more easily. Take that for what it is worth.)

I initially read that as "The Devils Fire (Pat) Burns." I need some sleep.
