Default Kings Announce Multiple Transactions (lakings)

The Los Angeles Kings have recalled center Brian Boyle (emergency recall) and defenseman Peter Harrold (emergency recall) from the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League (AHL), and have placed forward Ladislav Nagy on the injured reserve list (retroactive to January 18), Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi Saturday announced.

Boyle, 23, has played in all 47 games with the Monarchs this season, and he leads the team with 21 goals and 11 power-play goals. He also is tied for second on the team with 43 points (21-22=43). In the AHL, Boyle is first among rookies and tied for eighth overall in goals and first among rookies and fourth overall in power-play goals. A former standout at Boston College (he captained the Eagles to last season’s NCAA championship game and took his team to the Frozen Four in three of four seasons), Boyle is a 6-6, 222-pound native of Hingham, Massachusetts. Boyle, who will wear jersey No. 22, was originally selected by the Kings in the first-round (26th overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft and has not played in the NHL.
