Stuart, Preissing, Handzus, Nagy, Calder | | Seems to me that with the exception of Calder, all of these contracts should've been switched around. The guys who got the long deals should've gotten one-year deals, and visa versa. I'd much rather have Stuart signed long-term over Preissing. The way Nagy has been playing (before he got injured), I take him over Handzus considering the price and everything involved. Not saying I'm a big fan of any of these guys, but Calder is the only one that (at this point) I'm happy with the terms of the contract. The way Stuart has been playing the last 15-20 games, he is a perfect #4 for this team moving forward. Tom Pressing on the other hand....... sucks for the most part. I'd take Modry over that guy. Stuart is one of the only defenseman bringing a consistent physical game, and as much as he didn't impress me at the start of the season, he is consistently impressing me these days, given that he is a #4 defenseman. Handzus is ripping us off everyday. As much as I love his defensive game,,,, there is nothing else this guy brings for 4.5 million per. I say sign Stuart to an extension and do whatever it takes to get rid of Pressing come deadline time. Thoughts? |
