Brandon Sutter
Carolina loves this kid. Not nearly the same situation with Jack Johnson where Carolina traded him to make a futile attempt to defend their Cup.

Quote:
Tuomo Ruutu
Wouldn't shock me to see Ruutu moved. For all of his potential talent (his goal from the 2004 World Cup was phenomenal), he's never been able to put it all together partially due to injuries.

Daniel Cleary
Detroit's got no reason to move him before the deadline. He's UFA after this season though. Cleary's taken an interesting path to the NHL. He was an uber prospect at age 15 and plateaued into his draft year. Then he bounced around for ten years before landing with the Wings.

Quote:
Chris Higgins
Already an alternate captain for the Habs. Nothing short of severe overpayment would get him out of Montreal.

Quote:
Sami Pahlsson
UFA after next season. Don't think Anaheim would give him up to the Kings.

Quote:
Drew Stafford
Another guy who Buffalo has little motivation to move unless you coughed up a decent young defender like a Ryan Suter.

Anyways, another name to consider:

Chris Kelly - UFA LW from Ottawa. Turns 28 in November, had 38 points and was +28 a season ago. Stats not quite as gaudy this year (His 06/07 stats are likely a little inflated like Preissing's), but he might be one of the best 3rd liners in the league.
