Ok something ELSE that's been bugging me. I'm sick, so alot of things are bugging me right now.
A few threads ago for some reason or another that I cant' remember Jamie Storr was mentioned by me or someone else-- to which someone brought up breaking his confidence by bringing him up too soon and ot making that mistake with Bernier.
So here's my question-- I don't get this whole goalie/confidence thing. NOW don't go taking my statements to an extreme-- I understand that confidence plays a role. Contrary to popular opinion, I'm not an idiot. However, I don't understand how if, your a professional athelte that plays a sound techincal game, you confidence can be blown at 18 years old to the point that your whole career is shot.
Everyone loses games, especially when you are young.... In every sport (except ones like Tennis singles when it is just you vs the other person) it is a TEAM game and even at 18 you have to know every goal/point etc.. is not your fault. So how can a psyche be so fragile as to let a whole team get blown because you get shelled at 18 when you don't have a defense. Once you get a team with a defense and some experience, you still play a solid techinical game, so why can't you recover?
Thank you. I think that will be all of my deep thoughts for the night. I'm sure you are all very greatful for that.
