The division winner certainly deserves to have a top 3 spot, the most they could do is qualify the spot and say you need to win the division and have more points than #9 to have a top 3 seed and if you dont you're either 8th seed or out of the playoffs. But that would just be confusing and I don't think hockey doesn't want to go that direction while they're trying to gain more fans still |
