Los Angeles Kings center Michael Cammalleri, who has missed nine games with a rib injury, was placed on injured reserve Monday.
The move is retroactive to December 22, when Cammalleri suffered the injury against the Nashville Predators.
Cammalleri, 25, has played in 36 games for the Kings this season, recording 15 goals and 14 assists.
In other moves, the Kings recalled defenseman Peter Harrold and center Teddy Purcell from the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League.
