Let's not forget that Legwand was Nashville's first draft pick ever. He didn't have a ton of talent to work with his first few years there--naturally he's not on the level of say Heatley, Kovalchuk, etc who could produce on expansion teams.
And in a world where the Michal Handzus', Scott Hartnells, Bobby Holiks can command multiyear deals for 4 million, I don't find this contract particularly that bad. |
all things being equal with Legwand, Hartnell, Holik and Handzus, i'd easily take Michal.
